We incorporate art into social studies in a variety of ways. This year we have written songs about Catal Huyuk, created Rosette Stones and paper, made Senet boards and pieces, built artifacts of ancient Egypt, drawn large maps of Ancient Egypt, acted out events in Egyptian history, and written and produced newscasts on Ancient India Clockwise: The Tower Bridge Maps of Ancient Egypt Paper Towel Experiment Ancient Egypt Projects A Candy Replica of the Colosseum
 
During our scientific method and engineering unit, students conduct multiple experiments to test hypotheses, build basic bean, arch, and suspension bridges, and complete a long term project. Students can choose to research a bridge and build a model of the bridge, research and report on a scientists, or model the engineering process by designing an invention. Student Projects
