What is Student Council?

Every fall, our school elects a Student Council with representatives from grades three through six. The Student Council plans and facilitates community service projects, plans and runs a carnival night, and helps to run the school store. Meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month before school. Elected classroom representatives report information to their classrooms and chair projects and events. Students who are not elected classroom representatives may also attended meetings as part of the Student Council.

Last year student council members worked hard to organize both a towel drive and a blanket drive for the Household Goods Recycling Ministry. At the end of February, the student council organized a coin drive to benefit animals in need. Student Council members also ran the annual Student Council Carnival.

The Student Council is currently under the direction of two parent advisors, Barb Tibbetts and Chris Fenniman. For more information, please see the September Gazette.
